The site is the record, the writing is the commentary

Spent the day turning this place from a blog into a website.

The problem with running a personal site as a blog is that every idea has to audition for the role of Blog Post. Most ideas fail that audition, so they never get written down, so the site goes quiet, so the site feels dead — and none of that had anything to do with whether I was doing interesting work.

So: projects are first-class now, there’s a /now page, and this — a note — is a legitimate thing to publish. Missing a week is still fine. Missing direction still isn’t.
