Qi
BuildingA local-first AI workbench for the way I actually work.
What it is
Qi is a local-first personal productivity and AI tooling platform. It handles context-aware execution, on-demand AI capabilities, knowledge capture, automation, and workflow orchestration — a lightweight foundation for folding AI into everyday development and personal workflows rather than a separate place you go to use AI.
Why it exists
Most AI tooling assumes the interesting thing is the model. I think the interesting thing is the context — where your work lives, what you were doing an hour ago, which project you’re in, what you already decided. That context sits on your machine, and the tools that need it mostly don’t have it.
Qi is a bet that AI becomes genuinely useful when it’s part of your computing environment, not another application you visit.
Current state
Building. It’s the central ongoing project here, which also means it’s the one most likely to change shape while you’re reading this.
Where to explore it
